According to the Lake County Department of Transportation, the Arlington Heights Road reconstruction project is nearing completion.
A post by LCDOT noted that "...Crews are currently preparing for final asphalt surfacing, and we anticipate activating the new traffic signals by mid-July. After paving, a pavement rejuvenator will be applied to protect the new asphalt surface. This material requires a 10-14 day curing period before final pavement markings can be installed. During this time, roadway activity may appear limited; however, the curing period is a necessary step in delivering a durable final product. All lanes are expected to reopen in both directions in July....
