Now that the ground has been broken…
It took more than a decade, but the eyesores once known as the Rohrman properties have been reduced to rubble and work will kick into high gear on Bison Crossing. Anchored by a Tesla Dealership, the village has high hopes for the success of the 16-acre site, according to reporting from the Daily Herald. It’s unlikely Elon Musk will move to Buffalo Grove and run for the Village Board or if he’ll be the grand marshal for an upcoming BG Days parade.
Speaking of the BG Days parade
Even if Elon Musk is not part of the parade, any resident or organization can get involved. According to the parade czars at Village Hall, local businesses and organizations can participate in the annual event, scheduled for noon on Sept. 1. This year's route is the same as last year, heading south on Buffalo Grove Road from Thompson and then west on Deerfield Parkway, ending at Mike Rylko Park. Interested, go to this link for more information and to submit an application.
