Village 2021 budget revealed, hearing set


The Village Board will hold a public hearing on the 2021 village budget on Monday, Nov. 16.  The hearing, scheduled to be at Village Hall and via online video, begins at 7:30 p.m. The draft budget can be viewed here.

 

 

Village hopes to save $200k by outsourcing

          Having some village services done by independent contractors could save the village about $200,000 a year. The Village Board approved the measure at its Nov. 2 meeting.

Indian Trails Public Library lists programs

          The Indian Trail Library District has the following programs scheduled for the upcoming week:

Superhero Puppet Workshop: Thursday, Nov. 12, 10-11 a.m. For participants ages 5-11. Be a creative storytelling hero. Professional puppeteer, Susan Fulcher, demonstrates how to build a puppet and put on your own puppet show. Click here to register.

 First responders, vets, active military can be top dogs on Sunday

Wiener Take All, 1117 Weiland Road, will say ‘thanks’ to veterans, active members of the military, police officers, fire fighters and other frontline employees from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 by giving them a free hotdog, small order of fries and drink. The event is scheduled to correspond with Veterans’ Day, which is Nov. 11
