Village gets Federal grant
Rep. Brad Schneider’s (IL-10) vote for the passage of House Resolution 1102 – The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 -- funding the remaining half of the federal government for fiscal year 2024 helped clear the way for upgrades to Buffalo Grove’s emergency operations center.
Included in the current bill is $171,400 for the project which, according to Schneider’s office, “Aims to upgrade equipment in Buffalo Grove’s Emergency Operations Center. By purchasing new communications equipment, first responders will have better communication capabilities to respond effectively to emergencies and meet the needs of residents and businesses in the area. The upgraded equipment will allow the village to mitigate threats, save lives and increase peace of mind for the community.”
