Errant golf shots rattle residents
For the second time in three months, a resident has asked the Village Board for help in dealing with damage from errant golf shots at the Arboretum Golf Course. The latest plea came at the Aug. 18 Village Board meeting when, according to this coverage in the Daily Herald, resident Mark Czerwinski, detailed damage to his property as well as his neighbor’s.
In May, resident Toby Kriss said her property had suffered damage from golf shot. Kriss’ and Czerwinski’s homes adjoin the course at different locations, but both said they have had little support from the village. Czerwinski said signs indicating that golfers are responsible for damage do not help as, he told the board, when confronted, golfers deny the damage was due to their shot.
