Cops probe burglary / Farmers Market Opens Sunday / Flag Day observance

 Residential burglaryPolice are continuing their investigation into a burglary at a home in the 800 Block of Hollystone Lane. Police say the residents estimate the time of the break-in was between 9 p.m. on June 1 and 9 a.m. on June 2. Reports say various items were taken, but did not detail what was taken or the estimated value of the loss.

Dirt biker bagged / Pride Month kicks off / "Seamless Summer" set

 Fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer – A 22-year-old Arlington Heights woman is facing four charges after she failed to stop for a traffic stop – on a dirt bike. Police attempted to stop the woman who was on a “dirt motorcycle” for driving without side mirrors, brake lights, or headlight near Old Arlington Heights and Dundee roads. Reports say officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, but the driver did not stop. The driver and dirt motorcycle were found near Oak Creek Drive with the driver running away from police on foot before being apprehended. She was charged with fleeing and eluding a peace officer, possession of Cannabis over 100 grams, intent to deliver, and resisting/obstructing a police officer.
