Acceptable items include: Grass clippings, leaves, vegetative plants, brush and small trees (brush and tree limbs up to 3.5 inches in diameter must be bundled in 4-foot lengths, tied with string or cloth, and not exceed 70 pounds in weight). Unacceptable items include Indoor plants, flower arrangements, trees larger than 3.5 inches in diameter, dirt or stones, sod and pine cones.

Old McHenry Road open to local traffic
during reconstruction
Due to changes initiated by the contractor, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be keeping the current detour route in place for the roadwork taking place on Old McHenry Road. Old McHenry Road remains open to local traffic with the one block section of Old McHenry Road located between Robert Parker Coffin Road and Archer Road remaining limited to one-way southbound traffic only. Easy access to municipal parking lots (Archer and Stemple Parking Lots) remains, and downtown Long Grove shops and restaurants are open for business during this project.  For more information, including detour information, visit the project website at Old McHenry Road Info.
