Village issues statement regarding today's snow storm
The
Village of Buffalo Grove posted the following on various social media outlets
today:
A winter storm event is
predicted to begin this afternoon and continue through Monday morning with
accumulations ranging between 6” – 12” inches before it is finished. The
Buffalo Grove Public Works Department is prepared and will be responding
throughout the entire event to clear snow from all Village owned and maintained
roads.
Residents should use caution when driving and allow for
longer than normal travel times. The Village of Buffalo Grove parking
restrictions will be in effect for the duration of the storm event, and
residents should remove all vehicles from the roadway.
Residents should report all immediate storm concerns to the
Public Works Department at 847-459-2545 during normal business hours, or the
Police Department non-emergency number at 847-459-2560 after hours.
In
addition to the information issued by the village, the Buffalo Grove Fire
Department encourages residents to remove snow from fire hydrants so fire fighters
have easy access to them in the event of a fire emergency. Additional
information is available by calling the Fire Department’s non-emergency number, 847-537-0995.
