District 96 schools closed Monday

According to the Emergency Closing Center, School District 96 schools will be closed on Monday, Nov. 26.  Emergency Closing Center.

Information has not been posted on the District 96 website as of 9:20 p.m.  That site is kcsd96.org

Buffalo Grove Police are continuing their investigation into a pair of residential burglaries that occurred during the week of March 19.             The first burglary was in the 200 block of Willow Parkway and occurred when, reports say, the homeowner was “lured outside” by a man posing as a ComEd worker. Reports say that while the homeowner was outside, other individuals entered the home and took unspecified personal items.             Reports for the second burglary indicate that it occurred in the 200 block of Navajo Trail. While limited details were provided, reports say the resident told police they left the home for a few hours and found the home burglarized when they returned home.  Reports say “personal items” were reported missing. Package swiped – A resident in Villa Verde condominiums reported that a package delivered by FedEx was delivered to the lobby of one of the buildings, but its contents were removed by an unknown person. Cops investigate rash of vehicle burglaries / 1st business opens in The Clove / Trick or Treat hours set

Buffalo Grove police are continuing their investigations into a rash of crimes involving motor vehicles. Police report four burglaries involving vehicles in addition to reports of criminal damage to a motor vehicle and stolen car. The first in a series of burglaries to motor vehicles occurred in the 1900 of north Buffalo Grove where a resident told police that an unknown offender entered her vehicle and stole various items. A second incident was reported in the 900 block of Twisted Oak where a resident said someone entered two of his vehicles and stole various items. A third incident was reported in the 1300 block of Larchmont Drive. As was the case in the previous incidents, a resident told police someone entered his vehicle and stole various items. The fourth reported case mirrored the previous three. This burglary to a motor vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Hobson Drive. The resident said various items were stolen.
